KnitWell Appoints Angelica Munson to Digital Role

Angelica Munson joins KnitWell Group as Chief Digital & Customer Data Officer, overseeing data, insights and digital marketing strategy.

KnitWell Group has named Angelica Munson Chief Digital & Customer Data Officer, a newly created position overseeing enterprise strategy across customer data, customer insights, AI-enabled marketing tools, personalization and digital marketing. Munson will work across the specialty apparel company’s eight American brands, which serve more than 21 million loyal customers nationwide. Her responsibilities include advancing capabilities intended to help the portfolio better understand and engage customers. The appointment also covers efforts to support customer loyalty and long-term growth across the organization’s brands.

A New Enterprise Role

Munson’s remit brings data, technology and customer insights together across KnitWell’s portfolio of Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Haven Well Within, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Soma, Talbots and White House Black Market. The company said the role will support more personalized customer experiences while accelerating innovation across the enterprise.

Retail And Beauty Experience

Munson brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience spanning digital transformation, eCommerce, marketing, data strategy and customer engagement in the beauty, fashion and retail sectors.

She joins KnitWell from Shiseido Group, where she was Global Chief Digital Officer and led enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives across multiple brands and six global regions. Her work there included launching a Beauty Tech Lab powered by AI-driven skin diagnostics. Earlier, she held senior executive roles at Fast Retailing, including Theory and Helmut Lang, and at Estée Lauder’s Clinique brand, overseeing digital, eCommerce and marketing initiatives across North America, Europe and Asia.

Customer Engagement Across Brands

The newly created role is intended to develop enterprise capabilities that support customer engagement while preserving the distinct qualities of each KnitWell brand.
