Betteroo, a personalized parenting support platform for families with children ages 0 to 6, has surpassed 5,000 paying families within 10 months of launch. The company’s milestone points to early traction for a model centered on ongoing, tailored support rather than one-off parenting advice. Betteroo’s AI companion, Joey, uses conversations and feedback to build an understanding of each family’s circumstances. The platform combines technology with guidance shaped by developmental psychology, pediatric physical therapy, social work and play therapy.

A Relationship Based Model

Betteroo positions its service as a continuing relationship with parents, designed to become more useful as it learns about each child, caregiver and household. The platform can offer next steps, help parents make plans, set reminders, capture information by voice or text, and connect families with human experts.

Fredy Levin, Betteroo co-founder and father of 3, said:

“We don't believe parenting can be reduced to a Q&A, because the same question can have a very different answer depending on a family's context and values. Research can tell us what can work, but first we need to get to know the family. We listen, learn what matters to them and understand their constraints, then help them find a realistic path forward.”

Support Shaped By Families

Emotional attunement is a central part of Betteroo’s model, with a parent’s capacity, confidence and emotional state informing the support offered in a given moment. The company is also expanding into areas families identify as priorities, including helping parents feel more like themselves again, strengthening relationships, supporting mental health and building confidence.

Rachel Rothman, Chief Parenting Officer at Betteroo, said:

“Sometimes you need an answer. Sometimes you need help making a plan, remembering something, capturing a meaningful detail or simply getting it all out. We want Betteroo to be the companion that's there for all of it, meeting you where you are, remembering what came before and evolving alongside your family.”

Expanding Personalized Care

For Betteroo, the 5,000-family mark supports its premise that parents are looking for support that fits the realities of daily family life. Its approach aims to pair evidence-backed guidance and expert-informed guardrails with a personalized experience that changes as a family’s needs change.

Rachel Rothman, Chief Parenting Officer at Betteroo, said:

“Parents are flooded with information, but are missing the personal support families once found in the people around them. We're building Betteroo to fill that gap with support that is grounded enough to trust, flexible enough to fit real life and personal enough to grow with families.”
