Air France Plans 29,000 Square Foot JFK Lounge
Air France JFK lounge plans include a 29,000-square-foot facility at New Terminal One, set to become its largest international lounge.

Air France will move all of its New York-JFK flights to the New Terminal One next year and open a lounge spanning more than 29,000 square feet. The two-level facility will be the largest lounge in the airline’s international network, with seating for more than 400 guests. Designed by Air France teams with design agency MARKS Brandimage, the lounge will serve eligible La Première and Business customers, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and qualifying travelers flying with KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines. The move aligns one of Air France’s most important U.S. markets with JFK’s New Terminal One development.
A Two Level Passenger Space
The new lounge will include dining areas celebrating French gastronomy, a bar featuring French wines and champagnes, and dedicated spaces for beauty treatments, relaxation and work. Flying Blue Ultimate members will have access to an exclusive area.
La Première customers will have a personalized airport experience from arrival at the New Terminal One through boarding. Their lounge area will include a dining offer created specially for them by a renowned French chef.
Nicolas Henin, Senior Vice President, North America, Air France-KLM, said:
“New York is one of Air France's most important and iconic markets, and this year we are especially proud to celebrate 80 years of serving New York. With our move to New Terminal One and the opening of this new lounge, we are taking our premium travel experience to a new level, continuing to invest not only in the flight itself, but providing elegance in every moment of the journey. We want our travelers to experience the best of Air France, with French hospitality, gastronomy and savoir-faire at the heart of the experience, and this exceptional new lounge will be a true showcase of that ambition.”
Terminal Investment At JFK
The New Terminal One is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion transformation of JFK. The project is designed as an international terminal with public spaces, technology, retail, dining and other passenger amenities.
Air France operates up to six daily flights to JFK during the summer season, including four Boeing 777-300ER services equipped with its new La Première cabin. Its transatlantic joint-venture partner Delta Air Lines operates three further flights, while Air France also runs up to two daily flights to New York-Newark.
Jennifer Aument, CEO of New Terminal One, stated:
“We are honored that Air France has selected the New Terminal One at JFK as the new home for this exceptional lounge, further enhancing the travel experience for Air France, KLM and SkyTeam customers departing New York. As our largest airline and a key anchor carrier, the Air France-KLM Group is a valued long-term partner of the New Terminal One. Air France's investment in our terminal's biggest lounge represents a strong vote of confidence in the seamless and modern travel experience we are building. Together, we are delivering a transformative travel experience that elevates the customer journey and strengthens loyalty across the vital transatlantic market.”
A Larger New York Presence
Air France is marking 80 years of serving New York. Its move will consolidate the airline’s JFK operations within the New Terminal One while providing a new lounge for eligible premium, loyalty and partner-airline travelers.
