Lite Coms Selected for Australian SATCOM Program
Lite Coms selected by Boeing Defence Australia to supply LITE SAT 1.3A terminals for the LAND 4140 SATCOM program.

Lite Coms has been selected by Boeing Defence Australia to support the LAND 4140 Beyond Line-of-Sight Satellite Communications program. The Victor, New York-based company will provide LITE SAT 1.3A tactical satellite terminals for the Australian Defence Force’s LAND 4140 LAND C4 Modernization program. Lite Coms has developed a portfolio of 18 systems and delivered more than 10,000 multi-orbit, multi-band terminals globally. The award places its rapidly deployable communications technology within a defense modernization initiative focused on field connectivity.
Tactical Terminals for LAND 4140
The LITE SAT 1.3A is designed to provide secure, resilient, high-performance beyond-line-of-sight connectivity for mission-critical operations in austere environments. The lightweight, rugged terminal has an auto-acquire design, a durable carbon fiber reflector, and tool-free deployment features intended to help operators establish satellite communications quickly across a variety of operational environments.
Bob Jacobson, CEO at Lite Coms, said:
“Lite Coms is thrilled to be selected by Boeing Defence Australia and we are ready to provide them and the ADF with the highest level of performance and support. We believe this continues to showcase the industry leading capability of the Lite Sat 1.3 and the value that Lite Coms offers our customers.”
Multi Orbit Communications Systems
Lite Coms designs, manufactures, and integrates tactical satellite communications systems for government and defense customers worldwide. Its portfolio includes mission ready fly-away terminals, mil-spec electronically steered array antennas, tactical modem assemblies, and integrated communications solutions.
The company’s products are engineered for multi-orbit, constellation-agnostic connectivity across Low Earth Orbit, Medium Earth Orbit, Geostationary Earth Orbit, and Highly Elliptical Orbit networks. This design supports customers using a range of orbital architectures rather than a single network type.
Support for Field Connectivity
The LAND 4140 award reflects Lite Coms’ work in tactical satellite communications for military and government applications. Additional program details and production timelines will be announced as they become available.
