Carbone Fine Food Launches Italian Chili Crisp
Carbone Italian Chili Crisp launches in two varieties at Whole Foods Market, marking the brand’s first expansion beyond pasta sauce.

Carbone Fine Food has expanded beyond pasta sauce with the launch of Carbone Italian Chili Crisp, its first entry into a new grocery category since the brand launched in 2021. The line includes Calabrian Chili Crisp and Aglio e Peperoncino, two Italian-inspired varieties sold in 6-ounce jars for $13.99 each beginning September 8. The products will launch exclusively at Whole Foods Market, with additional availability on Amazon and CarboneFineFood.com. Made with 100% olive oil, peppers, onions and garlic, the finishing condiments are designed for pizza, pasta, grilled meats, fish and vegetables.
Two Italian Inspired Varieties
Calabrian Chili Crisp combines 100% olive oil with Calabrian chili, red bell pepper, onion and garlic. The variety delivers front-of-the-tongue heat balanced by crunch, richness and subtle sweetness.
Aglio e Peperoncino is the milder option, inspired by a favorite on the Carbone restaurant menu. It combines 100% olive oil with green bell pepper, hot pepper, onion, garlic and parsley for a crisp, vegetal flavor with zest and crunch.
Mario Carbone, co-founder of Carbone Fine Food, shared:
“Our goal with Carbone Fine Food has always been to make people feel like they can bring a little bit of the restaurant home with them. With the Italian Chili Crisp, we're giving people another way to do that. A hero product that can make a meal feel special.”
Expansion Beyond Pasta Sauce
The launch marks a notable retail step for Carbone Fine Food, which has built its national presence around premium, chef-driven pasta sauces. Italian Chili Crisp extends the company’s restaurant-inspired product range into a different part of the grocery aisle while offering consumers another format for everyday meals.
Eric Skae, CEO of Carbone Fine Food, said:
“Expanding beyond sauce is an exciting milestone for Carbone Fine Food and a natural next step as we continue to grow the brand. Italian Chili Crisp gives us an opportunity to bring another piece of the Carbone restaurant experience into people's homes in a way that feels both familiar and entirely new. We're continuing to build a pantry of products that deliver the quality, flavor and culinary point of view people expect from Carbone.”
Pizza Nights In Three Cities
Carbone Fine Food will celebrate the launch through invite-only pizza parties in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago. The three-city celebration hosted by Capital One begins September 17 with Lucali in New York City, continues September 29 with Prince Street Pizza in Los Angeles, and concludes October 6 with Dimmi Dimmi in Chicago.
The events will bring together media, tastemakers and select guests for pizza served with Carbone Italian Chili Crisp. Eligible Capital One cardholders can access tickets through Capital One Entertainment beginning Thursday, September 10.
Monica Weaver, Head of Branded Card Partnerships and Experiences at Capital One, said:
“We know our cardholders love experiencing what's new in dining, so we are thrilled to partner with Carbone Fine Food to celebrate their latest launch. Through Capital One Entertainment, our cardholders will have exclusive access to these invite-only pizza nights in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago in celebration of having Carbone's iconic flavors at home.”
A New Pantry Product
Carbone Fine Food’s new chili crisp range gives the brand a product outside its established pasta sauce business. With two distinct flavor profiles and a launch program that includes New York City, the company is introducing its restaurant-inspired culinary point of view in a condiment format.
