Silk Road Film Festival Names Golden Silk Road Winners
Silk Road International Film Festival concluded in Xi’an with Golden Silk Road Awards, screenings and industry cooperation.

The 13th Silk Road International Film Festival concluded in Xi’an on September 23 with the announcement of 10 Golden Silk Road Awards and the handover of the festival flag to Fuzhou. Black Night, Black Gold received the Best Feature Film Award, while Wang Ju and Ivan Savov were named Best Actress and Best Actor. Director and film educator Xie Fei received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Film Art. The eight-day program drew 2,130 film submissions from 139 countries and regions, with 23 titles reaching the final evaluation round.
Industry Cooperation and New Formats
The festival staged events centered on international co-production, industry cooperation, micro-dramas and virtual reality films. It also signed international co-production projects including The Wandering Accordion and reached strategic cooperation with institutions including the Cairo International Film Festival.
Screenings Across Shaanxi
Public benefit screenings were offered through cinemas, online platforms, universities and outdoor venues. More than 400 films were screened, including over 80 special 9.9-yuan public welfare screenings and 363 free screenings at 111 squares across the province.
The free screenings benefited more than 100,000 people. Box office revenue increased 6.3% year on year.
Festival Spending Across Xi’an
The festival’s “Film +” ticket-driven economy linked more than 600 consumption scenarios across Xi’an. Partner merchants recorded a 17.8% year-on-year increase in customer flow during the eight-day event.
Next Edition Moves to Fuzhou
The closing ceremony transferred the festival flag from Xi’an to Fuzhou, kicking off a new chapter for the next edition of the Silk Road International Film Festival.
